About the Role
Currently looking for a hospitality-driven Guest Experience & Retail Manager to oversee all aspects of the estate tasting lounge and direct-to-consumer environment. This role combines leadership, service innovation, and operational excellence to deliver elevated, memorable guest experiences while driving wine sales and brand loyalty.

Key Responsibilities
Hospitality & Guest Experience
- Ensure every visitor encounter reflects the brand’s values, voice, and quality standard
- Continuously refine tasting experiences, reservation flow, and service offerings
- Maintain a guest-first culture—resolving service issues, coaching team members, and celebrating wins
Team Leadership & Training
- Lead a team of wine educators and support staff, setting clear expectations and fostering accountability
- Hire, train, and mentor new team members; ensure everyone is fluent in brand storytelling and sales goals
- Provide hands-on coaching in areas like sales conversion, wine club onboarding, and CRM best practices
Retail & Sales Operations
- Oversee POS systems, reservation platforms, and inventory processes
- Manage day-to-day reporting, cash handling, and reconciliation procedures
- Optimize product mix, visual merchandising, and retail strategies to drive engagement and revenue
Collaboration & Brand Alignment
- Partner with DTC, marketing, and winemaking teams to support events, launches, and promotional campaigns
- Ensure alignment on messaging, storytelling, and guest communications
- Provide feedback and insights on visitor trends and opportunities for enhancement
Performance & Planning
- Monitor KPIs such as revenue per guest, club conversion, and staff productivity
- Contribute to annual budgeting and P&L performance for the visitor center
- Help develop new concepts and programs to keep the guest experience dynamic and differentiated
You’re a Great Fit If You Have…
- 3+ years in wine hospitality or luxury retail with supervisory experience
- Proven leadership and coaching skills; ability to inspire high-performing teams
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with systems like Commerce7, Tock, or WineDirect a plus
- Organized and metrics-minded—you know how to track, pivot, and improve
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours for events
- Comfort lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods
